Energy Services

The Energy and Environmental Services Division is committed to assisting low to moderate income households reduce their energy burden, improve the health and safety conditions of occupied housing and to foster client self-sufficiency.

In support of these goals, we provide the following services: energy efficiency retrofits, health and safety repairs, utility and energy assistance, lead-based paint abatement, client education & advocacy, and other services to people in need. We serve Humboldt and Modoc counties.

The Energy Demonstration Center provides energy efficiency retrofits, home improvement, utility and energy assistance, client education & advocacy, and other services to people in need. We serve Del Norte, Humboldt, Modoc, & Siskiyou counties.

We are a division of the Redwood Community Action Agency (RCAA), which is a non-profit organization that provides a wide range of services to low and moderate income residents of the North Coast. Our long-term goal is to develop programs through which people can become self-sufficient and empowered to improve their own lives. Our services are funded in part by the American Recovery & Reinvestment Act of 2009; in cooperation with the State of California Department of Community Service & Development.
