Housing Rehabilitation

The RCAA Housing Division is a community leader in seeking solutions  to the myriad of other housing and infrastructure problems faced by income-qualified citizens and the communities in which they live.

The mission of the Housing Division of RCAA is improving housing conditions by rehabilitating income-qualified owner-occupied homes, promoting improvement of residential infrastructure by operating and offering housing programs in our local communities and assisting those with financial difficulties with housing and financial counseling to maximize their chances of retaining their homes.

RCAA's Housing Rehabilitation Division focuses on operating and managing housing programs for RCAA, cities and other entities and providing individual housing and financial counseling to those experiencing financial difficulties.

  • These programs provide health and safety repairs to income-qualified owner-occupied housing including both stick-built and manufactured housing.
  • We also provide housing and financial counseling to those in danger of losing their homes to foreclosure.
  • Our staff is also available to assist in developing applications for rehabilitation funding, community housing surveys and program implementation and operation.

The Housing Division currently administers Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Programs,  and CalHOME Housing Rehabilitation Programs in Fortuna, Blue Lake and the unincorporated areas of the County of Humboldt.
