NRS strives to positively influence health- and environment-related decision-making, impart natural and cultural resource information in public access areas, foster communication and collaboration, and provide opportunities for participatory and field-based learning. NRS strives to incorporate outreach and education activities in its projects and programs, providing opportunities for volunteers in both active living and watershed restoration projects. Mapping and cartography are integral to almost all projects and NRS offers GIS based mapping as well as graphic display services to complement all programs.
