Public Hearing on the Draft 2022-2023 RCAA Community Action Plan

Redwood Community Action Agency (RCAA) will hold a Public Hearing via Zoom, Thursday, May 27, 2021, at 3 p.m., on the proposed 2022-2023 RCAA Community Action Plan. Members of the Humboldt community are invited to attend and make recommendations regarding the needs of the County’s low-income residents. Public comment will be incorporated into the agency’s biennial Community Action Plan for the period of 2022 – 2023.

The draft 2022-2023 RCAA Community Action Plan, accompanying survey, and Zoom meeting information can be found at: rcaa.org/cap

The Public Hearing on the draft Community Action Plan will be Thursday, May 27, 2021 at 3:00 pm via Zoom. To be included in the final Plan, surveys and any other written recommendations must be submitted by 5:00 pm, May 26, 2021. How do RCAA's programs impact you?

  • Natural Resouces Services (NRS) works directly with Humboldt County community leaders, schools and parents to improve safety and encourage more children to safely walk and bicycle to school. NRS helps coordinate both the Greater Eureka and Humboldt County Safe Routes to School Task Forces.
  • Teaching preschoolers oral health care is a result of the TOOTH program.
  • Natural Resources Services works with community members, civic groups and local jurisdictions to enhance neighborhood street tree planting and support the development of community forests for public access and watershed protection.
